Protection of personal information and Law 25

Law 25 concerning the protection of personal information is now in force. This law affects the practice standards of healthcare professionals, including sexologists. As a sexologist and self-employed practitioner, I apply the following responsibilities within my clinic:

  • Apply the Personal Information Protection Act
  • Respond to requests relating to personal information (e.g. access, correction, cessation of distribution, etc.)
  • Implement governance rules relating to personal information
  • Maintain personal information communication logs
  • Notify the Commission d'accès à l'information of any confidentiality incident involving personal information
  • Maintain a register of confidentiality incidents involving personal information

My practices are reviewed and updated regularly to comply with legal and professional requirements. For any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
