Low Sexual Desire
A drop in desire, or a gap between your desire and your partner's, is one of the most common reasons people reach out for sex therapy — and it's rarely just about sex.
What it can look like
Sexual desire can be influenced by stress, fatigue, relationship dynamics, life transitions (a new baby, a health issue, grief), body image, past experiences, or simply the natural evolution of a long-term relationship. A discrepancy in desire between partners is also extremely common and isn't, on its own, a sign that something is wrong with the relationship.
How therapy can help
Together, we explore what's contributing to the change in desire — emotional, relational, and contextual factors — using a humanistic and cognitive-behavioral approach, and work toward solutions that fit your reality, whether that means reconnecting with your own desire individually or navigating a desire gap as a couple.
